The Hilux is our most comfortable and reliable vehicle. With good ride height for game viewing, increased ground clearance and bigger wheels, the Hilux is a real pleasure to drive in the national parks. Compared to the classic Landcruisers, this vehicle also provides more comfort for its passengers when driving at higher speed on the main asphalt roads. Equipped with a canopy on the back for easy access to camping equipment and luggage.

Your safari classic – the Toyota Landcruiser box model. Classic, sturdy and reliable. It’s manual, has a 5-cylinder diesel engine and high ground clearance. Fuel consumption strongly depends on terrain, driving behaviour and load, but is in the range of 8 km/liter. NO A/C.
Fits 4 persons with plenty of room for your camping gear.

Classic – Landcruiser Troopy with pop-up roof
Your ultimate safari car: the Landcruiser Troopy model with pop-up roof. No wildlife can go unnoticed from this viewpoint! The stretched version has six window seats, but can only accommodate 4 people with camping luggage due to the small booth.
It’s manual, has a 6 cylinder diesel engine and high ground clearance. Fuel consumption is around 8 km/liter. NO A/C.

Budget – Toyota RAV4 – 5 doors
The RAV4 is Tanzania’s most widely used 4×4. Sporty, compact and robust, as well as easy and economical to drive. It’s automatic and in permanent four-wheel-drive. Fuel consumption is very low compared to the Landcruiser: around 10-12 km/liter.
The 5-door model can fit up to four people. Not possible to equip with rooftop tent and electrical fridge. When camping with three adults or more, the Hilux or Landcruiser would be the car to choose.
